Hello and welcome to my site!
This site is all about tea, its history, what types you can get, and how to appreciate it.
And lots more.

Who am I to be telling you about tea?
I'm the Tea Tigress, an opinionated, sometimes crabby, lady tiger of a certain age who absolutely, positively loves tea. Tea, to me, is the elixir of life. I'm here to give you a tiger's-eye view of tea.

About tea and me
When I'm not out chasing my next meal I enjoy nothing more that relaxing in my den with nice cup of tea. My adult cubs, may baby grandcubs, and all I find tea satisfying all by itself or as a complement to a good meal of freshly caught prey or a good gnaw on a bone. Tea can be the perfect accompaniment to sweet or savory snacks, meals on the go, or a fine, relaxing restaurant repast.

A tea for every time and season
With so many varieties of tea, there are teas for each season, every occasion, and any mood. Strong black tea with breakfast, oolong with lunch, lychee tea for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, a soothing cup of Assam after the evening meal. Nothing, but nothing is quite like a nice cup of tea.

So much tea, so little time
A cup of tea is so simple, but it can also be very complex. So many different types, so many wonderful flavors and nuances. Black tea, oolong, green tea, and white tea are only broad categories. Within each category you'll find a world of diverse taste sensations.

A new day, a new favorite
As a tiger I can't change my stripes, but I'm constantly finding a new favorite tea. These days, I start every morning with white tea, the loose leaf type, and my adult male cub recently discovered Vietnamese lotus tea, which has a mild but distinctive aroma and flavor.

So brew a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy my site!
